On the first day you’ll meet your guide and packer at the trailhead within the Sierra National Forest. After introductions, the packer will load up all your personal items onto the stock while your naturalist guide leads you on your hike to camp. On days two and three you have the option of relaxing at camp or embarking on a day hike with your guide, possibly climbing a mountain peak or exploring chains of alpine lakes. On the morning of day four the packer will meet us at camp to reload gear and head back to the trailhead. Meet your guide and packer on the first day at a designated trailhead. There, we will load up all of your gear as you set off with your naturalist guide to a beautiful lake-side campsite. That night, we will relax by the fire enjoying each other’s company and the sounds of the darkened forest. Day two will require moderate hiking with scenic vistas of the high country and trails winding through aromatic Jeffrey Pines and Incense Cedars. We will arrive at our next camp, finding that the packer has expertly led the stock (with our supplies) through the forest in time to meet us. There at camp, you can wash up, do some fishing, relax and enjoy another delicious meal prepared by your guide. On day three your guide will lead you over a splendid granite ridge and then back to the trailhead where we will rejoin the packer. Here, we will unpack your gear as you say “goodbye” to your new four-legged friends.
