Description:
You are taken by horseback, your gear and provisions by pack animals, to a desirable campsite near a lake or stream. After your gear is unloaded your group will be left to set up camp. Your packer and stock return for you on a predetermined day. The desirable feature of this type of trip is that once you are at camp, the length of stay does not affect your cost. The only days you pay us for are the days in and the days out. The cost will vary somewhat based on how many people are in the party and how much gear they take, which determines the number of animals and packers. The one-day spot trip areas permit the packer to return to the pack station the same day. The longer spot trip places you in more remote areas requiring the packer to stay overnight, therefore resulting in a 4-day stock rental for the round trip. Please plan on feeding the packer dinner and breakfast on overnight trips. It is the customers responsibility to reserve and acquire, prior to the trip, a wilderness permits as well as provide bear proof food containers. Bear proof food containers may be rented from Yosemite Trails subject to availability.
