What sets us apart? For starters we raise all of our own stock and, yes, you will be riding a horse - not a mule. All of our rides cross through streams so you will have the opportunity to feel the exhilaration of riding through water with your horse. We provide hands-on training along with an arena lesson before you depart on your ride. Group size is kept small for
a more personal experience. All of our trails make
a continuous loop so you won’t see the same trail
on the way home. And finally, since we are a small family run business, we are the perfect choice
for your family.
 

Big Creek 1 Hour Trail Ride - $40/person
Departure Times: 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:15am, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm
This is our most popular ride. Departing from the Pack Station you will be guided through tall pines and meander along the banks of Big Creek which is one of the most pristine rivers in the area.

Vista Pass 2 Hour Trail Ride - $80/person
Departure Time: 11:00am & 4:00pm
If you’re looking for more time in the saddle and you’re ready to “Cowboy Up”, come and experience the grandeur of Vista Pass.

Giant Sequoia 1/2 Day Trail Ride - $140/person
Departure Time: 12:00pm
This is our exclusive trail ride into Yosemite's Mariposa Grove. What better way to get a glimpse into Yosemite's past than to visit these 2,000 year old redwood trees the way John Muir did. Rides offered Wednesday and Saturdays. A minimum of 4 riders is required.

Lead Horse - 15 minutes $20 each
For families with children younger than 7 years of age.  This is a led horseback ride around a small corral by a Yosemite Trails Wrangler allowing parents the freedom to take pictures. This is a great first-time horse experience. Lead horse is subject to availability of horse & wrangler and offered on a first come first serve basis.

  • Trail Ride Reservation Information - During the summer months, the Yosemite Trails Pack Station is open from 8 am to 6 pm, Visa and Master Card accepted. To better serve you, we strongly suggest you make your reservation in advance.

  • Please arrive and sign in 30 minutes before your ride's scheduled departure time. Long pants and closed toed shoes are recommended and riding helmets will be provided for your safety. Please do not bring hats, backpacks, video cameras or MP3 players.
  • Children must be 7 years of age and 46" tall to ride on the trail. The maximum rider weight is 230 lbs subject to horse availability. Departure times can vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions, call to verify all times before arrival.
  • Please be advised we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. All rides must be canceled or rescheduled no less than 24 hours before your reserved departure time. If you do not call and speak with one of our representatives at least 24 hours in advance and fail to show up for your ride on time, we will be unable to refund your ticket purchase.
  • Horseback riding is a strenuous sport.  Physical fitness is one of many factors that determine your ability to safely participate. We reserve the right to decline service to any individual that, in the opinion of the management, can not be safely accommodated.
